As a video for Lois Lane's first EP Viktor and Bart dreamed up a world filled with cloth-like screens bending and waving in the wind of intercontinental data-transfer. The display as a medium dissolves into a flexible plane, readily adapting to whatever it encounters, with the single pieces of content all becoming parts of one big journey through our bookmarks.

With a name deriving from her childhood fascination for all things aviation, Venezuela born Aérea Negrot surely has seen a thing or two before ending up the reigning queen of opera-tech. Her vocal abilities cover the whole spectrum - from extemely loud and shrill high notes to deep dark mumbling, her range is second to none. Thus her experimental nature and sheer talent would not remain unnoticed for too long - after brief episodes in Porto, Amsterdam and London, Aérea Negrot relocated to Berlin in 2004, where she was discovered by New York's disco/house/post-punk powerhouse Hercules & Love Affair. Certainly a weighty encounter, as she spent the years to come in the inner circle of Andrew Butler's creative bubble. Her first solo 12" release 'All I Wanna Do' saw the light of day in 2010 on BPitch Contol, followed by her first full-length effort 'Arabxilla' in October 2011. In this here episode of Headphone Highlights, Aérea Negrot, alongside Fata Kiefer, breaks down idols and inspiration and guides us through the songs that shaped her own musical vision.
